Artist Claudine Metrick’s project bears witness to the decline of 3 Threatened and Endangered species in New York State: the Bogbean Buckmoth, the Karner Blue Butterfly, and Northern Long-eared Bat. She specifically draws our attention to the hibernation disturbances of the Northern Long-eared Bat; the relationship between the Sundial Lupine and the Karner Blue butterfly; as well as the Bogbean Buckmoth’s struggle with acclimation.
The culmination of Claudine’s project was a screening of her animated film “Imperiled”, which was hosted in her native plant garden in Central New York.
